Another possibility is that the material has crystallized and the pads will need to be replaced.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The system is dirty.<\/strong> Dirt caused by the friction of the brake pads is another reason for noise. Dust may have accumulated because the car has not been used for a long time or because it has been driven regularly on unclean roads. In the latter case, the passing of the kilometres will make everything come back to normal and stop squeaking, just as it happens when there is humidity, another factor that can cause the brake pads to squeak.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The brake discs are in poor condition.<\/strong> They may be deformed or incorrectly rectified. If the problem is the latter one, the noise will continue, even if the pads are changed.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The discs are deformed<\/strong>. When the brake pads are new, they need some break-in time to adapt their shape to that of the discs used. Abrupt braking from the start will result in deformation.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Vibrations occur between the pads and discs.<\/strong> It can occur, even if the parts are in good condition. The pads usually have Teflon inserts on the back to prevent this.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n[box_twitter]If the friction material of the pads is worn, it causes a decrease in braking capacity and the possibility of the discs themselves breaking.[\/box_twitter]\n<h2>OVERHEATING HAZARDS<\/h2>\n<p>It is important not to overuse the brakes, as the pads can overheat and cause the fading effect, which means a loss of efficiency of the system due to intensive use.<\/p>\n<p>In such a case, the brake fluid exceeds the temperature for which it is prepared, and it may even boil and produce bubbles, nullifying the braking capability.
